I have been waiting quite a while to film Jonas & Amanda's wedding! It is hard to believe that in just under a week their day will be here! But, before they say 'I DO' I wanted to give them an opportunity to share their love story with the world!
Jonas and I met our junior year of high school at church, we were in relationships with other people but definitely had an immediate connection. We hung out a few times with mutual friends and then began the KU vs KSU rivalry between us. I would invite him over to watch the KU vs KSU basketball games with my mom and I because we both love basketball. (Normally with KU dominating!) We were there for one another during break ups, we have always just had that foundation of friendship and knew we could rely on one another to be a lend a listening ear. Eventually we grew apart for a few years, he got more involved with his work, and I was working to finish up school. I did my student teaching up in Wamego, Kansas and graduated from school in December 2013. In January my mom messaged me on Facebook, saying that Jonas was going through a bit of a rough time and I should message him. I hadn't talked to him for almost two years! However, I'm the type of person when a friend is in need, I want to reach out to help. I did and ended up asking him to come up for a visit. It was more than just a visit though, we thought we'd give a relationship a try, we were both feeling at the point where we were ready to find the one. We didn't know if we'd find it in one another, but we were willing to give it a try. After that weekend, dinner, shopping, meeting my friends, and church, we were both feeling comfortable and a bit more confident about the idea of being in a relationship. Jonas ended up coming up nearly every weekend after that...and that March he bought a ring. He waited until June and popped the question up in Manhattan where our relationship had gotten its start! We are so thrilled to start our life together, and we know none of it would of been possible without God's perfect timing for our relationship!
Congrats, guys! I can't wait for your wedding day!
